In the DarknessThe final thrust of the spear went unguarded and pierced my chest. My already shattered sword fell to the ground from hand. The large metal boot kicked me roughly in the chest where  I landed next to my fallen, broken blade. The army of Darkness marched away, leaving me with my final breaths and the gathering coldness in my body. Feeling was leaving my body, my vision was blurring and color drifted away. I had fought so hard to stop the darkness, but as I laid there, I knew that I had failed. My mind lazily drifted through all the fights and memories of my life, all the people I had loved and the ones I had lost. Darkness consumed me. It seem In the Darkness

Tael IntroI ran into the main chambers of the academy. The silence of death was ringing all through my ears. The shadowed figures on the ground comfirmed my greatest fears. Tael had come, and he had slaughtered the cadets here. I felt the anguish overwhelming.  I knelt down slowly, near one of the young boys who had fallen to the blade of Tael. The slash ran deep across his chest, his small sword still clutched tightly in his hand. Such bitter anger as I had never felt before poured into me. I felt the burning tears whell up and I began to weep, a sorrow I had never felt. The thought creeped into my mind then, how had I let myself forget? Where was.... Tael Intro

Strange how things change. This time of the year was always hardest for me, maybe it still is. But now its very different. This time, I can breathe. I can taste the living, night air. And it tastes good. The blood doesn't cloud my vision anymore. The wounds are more like scratches, and they are easily survivable. My steps still feel heavy, but not as much. My heart no longer beats in a way that you would think it is struggling to support the host. No, it drives me forward now. Blind perseverence has been replaced by a steady faith. A stable one. And it feels really good.
